Most of the dynamic grunt comes from the two powered subs

I beg to differ. There's lots of dynamic punch to be found well above the first two octaves.

Your Soundlabs go down to 28hz or 35hz?

I get in room response flat to just under 30 hz with my full range stats. No need for three way crossovers.
