RE: Gettng Rid Of That Goodwill Smell -or- Boy, Your Homes Must Reek


I received a preamp (not from goodwill) and it smelled of cigarette smoke (I hate that smell) I took off the cover and cleaned it with glass cleaned that has vinegar in it. I cleaned it inside and out. I then used some alcohol and Qtips to clean the inside where the electronics are (this was very tedious) I left it set over night and the smell was gone. You should have seen how brown the paper towels and Qtips were, yuk....
