RE: Electricity draw of Pioneer sx-1010 receiver at rest?

Pioneer does not specify the quiescent power. They just list a maximum.

Crown mentioned the idle power draw on some of their gear but the one I'm thinking of the D-150 has no lamps and draws 30 watts or less.

That SX has a bunch of lamps and more circuitry than the Crown amp so your quiescent current draw will be way more than 30 watts but I would say way less then 100 watts. The recommendation for a Kill-a-watt is good if no one has one of these devices hooked up to their SX-1010.
