I agree. I have the L100's and L110's.

The L100's are a very "pleasant" speaker to listen to and may cover up some flaws in the recording. The L110's will accurately bring out all the details including the flaws. Nice tight, punchy bass very much like their highly respected PA speakers. As you mentioned, solo acoustic instruments really shine.

You can tell a lot of time and effort were put into designing the the L110's. Very impressive looking woofers. I believe the original versions have the Alnico magnets.
