I had and enjoyed a pair for years - they were my gateway to JBL, and while they're not part of the fabled studio/monitor or "Heritage" lines, they are sweet-sounding and capable of nice bass at high volume. They're not 4311s or Dorians or L220s, etc, but perfectly fine for someone who wants good sound, a manageable footprint, and not-in-your-face style and construction (no butt cheeks, horns, etc).
And you can get them for MUCH less than $600.
