You need four items to do it precisely enough.Download (i) a GPS-based compass app to your phone. It won't be affected by cars or garages, etc.
Get a topographical map (ii) that includes your block and the transmitter site.
Using a ruler (iii) draw a straight line between the two, and a geometry type arc compass (iv) to get an approximate bearing.
Swing antenna through that bearing - using that compass app - until the Signal Strength / sound* is best.
Lock antenna in place.
* Why ? You will almost certainly find that your tuner's SS meter is not good at discriminating at higher SS levels.
