So once again the highly rated Sangean PR-D18 sounded horrible, exagerated sibilance and hiss. Voices, which is what I want the radio for for the most part, were impossible to listen to. I would rather buy a modern fairly new radio. I keep having bad luck buying used tabletop ge clock radios which sound perfectly good when working. I'm giving up on them because I've gotten 2 bad ones in a row when the sellers say they are fine. A portable without horrible sibilance... Thanks, Tweaker
