RE: HF Filter

Are you using the 576V supply to power the OPT directly, or is there a filter cap between them? I'm asking this question because without a cap, you have no energy storage at audio frequencies. You're totally reliant on the output Z of the switcher, and I'm not sure these have the necessary frequency response for that. I'm also not sure the output of the supply is truly resistive. It could easily exhibit a reactance that interacts in some way with the primary of the OPT. If you're not using a filter cap, I think you need to try one before moving forward with a noise filter. The supplies might not even start with a capacitive load. 20uF should be adequate for a test.
