The 7189A had BOTH pin 1 and 2 AND 6 and 9 internally connected SOOO,
if you want to use any variant of that tube One COULD wire the sockets together {1&2 and 6&9}.
Do not forget in certain circuits normal or modern 6BQ5's will NOT be able to handle the voltage... for very long in a circuit designed for 7189's and especially the 7189A.
