RE: Bridge vs. Voltage Doubler for 4W SET

Hi all...thank you for your replies.
I just returned a shorted xfmer for another one.
It is a k20721 for a conn organ ...180v used as a doubler for 475v @350mA. I'm trying to find more specs on its current ratings.

If this is used with 6ax4gtb rectifiers, it simulates out to 370-392v. This is closer to my target voltage. If I use 4 of the rectifiers parallel (2ea.) I should get more current...and less voltage drop. So I'm thinking this may be the way to go...then do a choke input down the line when I can afford the proper choke.

Any thoughts?

Normality frightens me- its what they use to lure you into the cookie cutter.
