I have a WM-100II that I bought new at Sony-Only back in the day.

I still have all the packaging, and the original receipt.

It's a SUPER sounding unit with a rechargable battery that STILL holds a charge (imagine that!)

And best of all, it will also operate on 1 (yes...ONE) AA 1.5V alkaline for hours!

The sound is fabulous (I think it has a dual capstan arrangement) and it's quite narrow and small....made of metal, not plastico.

ANYWAY, my only complaint is the fragility of the headphone jack, which doesnt' seem to have sufficient strain relief. I had to disassemble the unit once and resolder the connections and insert a small plastic shim to keep it from wiggling around.
