Home Tape Trail

Reel to reel, cassette and other analogue tape formats.

Yep, had a big library of tapes,

a history of 'calibrated' decks / 3-headers and the habit. So decent dolbied walkmans were neat. It is amazing how cheap some of the good ones were. Sony and Aiwa way out in front IME&O.

Then in later life I was travelling a fair bit, for a hi-fi nut, and a friend got me a Headroom Traveller pack, with the Class-A amp!?, and ETY's!

My previous Sony Walkman was broken. This time a proper (all radio spacings) replacement came up. It was recommended. KEPT CLEAN, (regular wet Allsop clean) and fed with good batteries, they are a pretty blameless piece of kit. Still have mine.

The Direct drive and thus tape-only ones, are even better. But3 sources as carry-on? NOYN.

I am hoping to get on to a 'looked after' Walkman Pro one day, and start location recording. ;-)!

Warmest,
