Nobody said it was. Didn't you read my post? What I suggest is that there could be traces of ferrous elements in the aluminum or in the ink on the label. Even if there are trace elements magnetic field thus produced would be too weak to explain the results obtained by demagnetization and therefore the whole demagnetizing of CDs thing is a mystery. Follow?
