For what it is worth, I did a similar kind of thing to my EA Off-Ramp. I thought the linear supply gave the Off-Ramp a "smoother", more "natural" character. Whereas the stock switch-mode supply gave the Off-Ramp a "grainier" but seemingly more dynamic presentation and a bit more "space". So it is going to depend on where your system "is" as to whether the change improves things. Perhaps my experience is not relevant to the EMU; for one thing the EMU is also a DAC; others need to report as to what differences they perceive. Gordon, can you help in this regard?Regards,
