HPZ2: 2.3"x8.5"x8.5" case: Plastic panels & sheet metal. Starts at $699.
MINI: 1.4"x7.7"x7.7" case: Carved from a solid block of aluminum. Starts at $499.
Mac Mini volume: 83 cu.inches
HP Z2 volume: 166 cu.inches
In fairness to HP this ugly (IMHO) beast is pitched as a tiny CAD workstation. As such it has a couple gnarly looking noisy air blowers inside to keep it cool. Probably not great for a music server setup. In a tiny PC, I would look for one that is fanless or with a very quiet fan.
