Thanks for the heads up. I've looked at the specs from the review that you posted from Stereophile and they are referring to the DAC I just installed. I'm hoping that maybe they tested a defective unit as their review is contradictory to the Ken Rockwell review (excerpt below).
"It's completely immune to even the slightest jitter that other excellent DACs can't remove from USB, as well as often the best performances I've measured for distortion."
My PC is my source and I do think it's worth $60 to buy a USB to S/PDIF converter to test for any differences that might exist between the two.
Thanks again for the head's up and the info. BTW, any recommendations for a mains transformer? Many reviewers have complained about the cheap power chord this unit ships with.
