Hi all,
I'm a complete newbie to anything above basic audio. I recently purchased a set of Bowers & Wilkins MM-1 PC speakers, and while they sound very good, I feel the need to improve them - if I can.
I'm wondering what can be done. I would like to add a small subwoofer to up the bass a bit, but nothing overpowering. Just some tight, clean bass. However, as these are 2.0 speakers, they don't natively support a subwoofer.
Is something like this possible? The MM-1s have an integrated 16-bit DAC. Would upgrading the DAC increase the sound quality if listening to lossless files? Also, can I get a USB DAC with two outputs? One to connect to the MM-1s, and one to connect to a subwoofer?
Thanks in advance, and any suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated.
