3Q 2016 players for MAC?

Hi all, does anyone know good FLAC players for Mac? Just got a Mac Pro and I know VLC works. I want to stay away from iTunes. Also would like to know about upsampling players, to DSD or DXD and if I need to do any special setups. My DAC standard USB with Dop over PCM.
This is my first Mac in 13 years. So sorry for acting dumb, because when it comes to Mac OS I don't know what to do.
And I mean open source software. Not proprietary. I appreciate it.
Edit, seems quality of free software is lacking ...
I think I'll buy audirvana after my trial is up.
