I would have thought you would get a better supply than an external SMPS. Now I understand why they are coy about showing it in any of the pics. You'll see it in the manual.
Or, the manual suggests you can spend another $1865 for their MPS-2 linear and adapter plug. Maybe that's why their PI runs at 12V while most run 5V. :)
