Modest upgrade

My PC/music server is a Dell Studio and is also used for the office based in-house system. Which is pretty modest - ALC889 sound chip on Intel H57 board sourcing Emotiva mini-x A100 amp driving ceiling mounted GRC 8" full range speakers around the house.

While it's amazing what a two buck chip can do, I sprung $50 for an M Audio Audiophile 2496 card on ebay. With an AKM 4528 DAC and NE5532 outputs, it offers a nice improvement over base. Since I work at home, I end up listening to this system as much as any other!

Should have S/PDIF to USB converter today for the uRendu!
