It's junk Beats vs pretty good Audioquest.
I'm not sure why you keep limiting Apple Lightning connector headphone choices to "junk Beats" when there are a number of other brands already on the market with more on the way.
I know of at least 4 so far. Try Sony, Philips, Harman, and the high-end headphone maker Audeze. These all have built-in DAC and Apple Lightning connector compatibility (so no 3.5mm audio jack required).
