RE: iPhone 6 Measurements.

Perhaps you'd find out first what device/manufactuerer/OS resamples all the data.
Because they do resample the data. From what I heard Android is not the best perfomer on this task. (They promise to do better on Android L)
Beside that the different OSes and even OS revisions come with different mixers, algorithms, internal bit depths etc..

What are you actually comparing??

You might be comparing resampler, mixer, DSP performances after all.
There are also reported differences between e.g. Android 4.3. and 4.4.


Perhaps you should also look for playback software that manages to play "native" data. Otherwise comparisons become kind of misleading.


I know, I know. In the end counts what's coming out.

However. A change of playback software could easily change your results. Here again your measurements would turn out to be more or less useless.
