At first I thought that the PC audio alternative would be daunting, too, as was acclimating to PC"S themselves. You just have to embark upon a short learning curve, and you"re off to sonic bliss.
I bought a PC, learned that the preinstalled Realtek High Definition audio player upsampled audio to 24/192, made that setting, bought a Schiit Bifrost unmodded for $350 when they first came out, and never looked back.
