No there is no waterproof gasket on those drivers, you'll have to
seal it..just smear some RTV around the crack. The problem is the
steel pole pieces/phase plug/magnetic gap rusting, and aluminum corroding. I've seen some badly rusted drivers that had to be scrapped.
