Several years ago, Danley Sound Labs built a subwoofer to be used against enemies in "the field". It was called the Matterhorn. It consisted of a large number of 15" drivers housed in a horn which was built into a shipping container, the kind used for, well, shipping on ships.
Google "Danley matterhorn subwoofer" to read all about it.
