I've got the same HF setup (288-8G on 311-90's) but they are actively crossed at 500hz and attenuated with a Werner autoformer. To extend the high frequency I use a pair of MR902's (w/8 ohm diaphragm) that are 1st order passed over at 6000hz (also attenuated by the Werner autoformer). Would I be better off just using the 288/311 with a compensation circuit? If so, what would that circuit look like? Thanks for your input.
