Recently acquired a folded horn speaker from the original owner. He mentioned he built the speaker about 60 years ago from a kit and the driver is a Jensen coaxial. Diameter of the driver appears to be 12". True to its vintage, the original owner used this speaker in a pure 1 speaker mono system.
I suspect at the time of purchase speaker kits were popular which may impede identifying this one. Still, hoping someone has details about it. Is anyone familiar with this speaker? What company made it? Any and all details would be of interest.
I'll need to replace the rheostat that adjusts the volume of the upper frequencies (assuming the driver is a 2 way) or the midrange and above (if the driver is a 2 way). Any suggestions on what to use?
Thank you kindly for any information!
