Slot loaded open baffle bass

Lets say I made two 3´wide, 6´high and 1´deep L-shaped mirrored plywood panels.
This panel i put in the front corners making a 6´ Deep shakt together with the room back & side wall.

Close to the floor I make a 1" x 15" slot (about 1/3 of the cone-area of a 15" woofer).
This would make quite a big slot loaded open baffle despite a very small visual size.

I know OB´s require high Q drivers for having good bass (because of the wave length canceling). But this arangement will have an wavelength canseling of about 12´which is similar to a rather big OB.

Does the high Q driver requirement still stand when using a 15" (or a 12") driver?
Does the 1/3 slot loading change this driver requirement in any way?
