Seems to me, you "make up your mind" before even trying something out experimentally !!! To quote you : "plus its not needed ".
Totally unlike what you presently "think", I find bricks are VERY helpful on ALL of my components, including my passive attenuator. I TRYED it, and LISTENED.
All I suggested is to try it - systematically, listen, and THEN make up your mind, based upon your direct listening experience.
Oh well, have a great day anyway.
