Yes in a 1/2WL the length doubles, the throat area should be the same but is the doubling rate the same as a 1/4 WL?? This would make the mouth area much larger.
Planning to make a 35 Hz 1/2 WL folded bass horn for PA work. Need about a 195" length, doubling rate for a 35 Hz 1/4 WL is 22 inches but does this apply to a 1/2 WL design too. The mouth size will then be automatically determined by these two parameters.
Any help appreciated.
