And I don't mean grain punch in college. LOL
Ever since Faital drivers were advertised in the US I had my sites on the 12PR310 but to cheap to shell out 400 beans for a pair. Well, the audio gods were shining down on me and a pair came up on ebay and I snagged them for 160 the pr.
Fit and finish is very nice. When tapping on the cone they have a nice "drummy" sound. Since they have a very tight suspension I didn't have much hope.
Boy was I wrong. I slapped them in the old 3 cubic foot 40hz BR box used with the Beyma 12BR70 DE250/H110 combo and BOOOOOM! Hit like a tank, kick like a mule! Loud as heck! No real deep bass like the AE TD15S but nice sharp solid satisfying punch!
Put them in from of the PPSLIB and total devastation!!
They really do have good vocal articulation and nice tone and sound stage too.
