I think it will boil down to the value you place on its sound quality because it seems a bit expensive for its limited functionality compared to the new Parasound Integrated Amplifier. The Musical Fidelity has a USB DAC with 96kHz/24-bit capability only compared to the asynchronous USB DAC supporting PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit as well as DSD(2x) in the Parasound. There are also a number of other features and functions on the Parasound that aren't available on the Musical Fidelity. Consequently, the Musical Fidelity would need to be significantly better sounding to justify its higher price tag and limited capability. Actually, I don't see how it could be that much better sounding, but I've never heard either one.
