Re: AOL thinking about selling off Warner Music. Is this good news or bad news for DVD-A?

Probably good news. I'm not really into financial theory, but the folks at MSNBC and The Book Channel (part of C-Span) say that big consolidations haven't worked nearly as well as hoped. I think it has something to do with confused management (too many cooks syndrome), "unfocused" marketing goals and just the sheer size of these enormous organizations makes them unwieldy to operate effectively.

I think if Warner went back to just making music, things would improve for CD and dvd-audio. Faster title introductions (less management crap for decisions to ooze through), and more receptive to changing consumer desires.
