The manufacturers don't say 'analog' - you do.

You do not make switching amps.

There's nothing wrong with switching amps. Only in your head. And they are discrete output (not continuous), hence digital by definition. The pulse-widths are digital, making them distinct from traditional analog switching amps.

My intent was to give those (who don't know) an option - without raising much attention. Now that you *caused* attention, more people are probably going to look into this, as they should.

I his review of the NAD M2, Jim Merod (of PFO) called the NAD M2 a "ridiculously happy event" and a "must". More recently, Alan Taffel of TAS said the Technics R1 went beyond his reference CH Precision gear (for digital). CH was (and still is) world class, being designed by former Goldmund engineers.
