I listen to all units for a couple hours before shipping them out. I have done a lot of experiments with different glues and they sound different. For GroundHanger, glue always reduces microdetail so it needs to be removed.
For CableRing when glue is too close to the processors it reduces microdetail. When using more cloth (so glue is further away) the blackness is reduced and it sounds grey and dry. I need to cut as much of the cloth as possible and close it with tiny amounts of super glue. But if I cut too much cloth it sounds too black. I make all the cutting with my ears, I listen to the CableRing, cut a little more, listen again etc. Just putting the cloth on takes many hours.
