I would ring Peter Q. I have the factory M3 and the Conqueror MBs and he is very helpfull.
You may be able to get local elec to fit once you locate and buy the correct parts.

Or if you really like the M3 it may be better to send it to Peter for a health check / MOT. It may need other parts to bring it up to scratch?

My M3 is ok after 10 years use, so it really is a great design and sounds fabulous.
