First, I don't mean to besmirch Bob at all. I have no reason to believe he's not the finest of gentlemen and designers.

Next, it seems perfectly normal and customary to ask consumers, instead of manufacturers or designers, about their experience with gear. If I wanted to ask how the SS amps were converted to match the tube amps, that's another story. And while that is very interesting to me, it's not what I'm asking. I've never seen anyone reply to "What do you think of a used Audio Research LS-1 versus a Perreux " with a message saying "go ask ARC". That is very weird and odd to me.

Lastly, I am sure Bob Carver has had enough fan contact to last several lifetimes. I wouldn't reach out to him directly unless I already knew him.
