3 questions on input and output specs

Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

I've had no luck online finding out what difference and pros/cons would be between 2v and 4v max input V of standard stereo RCA inputs. Opinions?

I've also had no luck in finding solid specs on what the V, R/Ohms, sensitivity is for Sony Integrated Amp I'm using now and plan to use power amp section for a tube preamp. I need to sort that all out so I will know what specs and range preamp output needs to be within to properly match and drive power amp. Suggestions on how to figure that out and what range +/- will still offer close to optimal sound range?
