The LED was fine, it's a color-changer that indicates standby/on. The plastic bezel had disintegrated and fallen out. Oddly, most of the panel indicators had fallen out on my 2 Adcom 5002's- plastic failed, adhesives failed, etc. Bad day at the glue factory? The circuit board looks fine, built decently.
BTW, these little Adcoms sound GREAT! What a sleeper from around 1998. Very smooth and punchy. Works nicely enough bridged (one of only a few bridgeable Adcoms). If only a single channel is needed, however, I prefer to use just one channel of the stereo amp.
