The original version of this preamp had a gain of 10 dB single ended and 8 dB balanced. The current version, according to the owner's manual, has a gain of 17 dB single ended and 24 dB balanced. Does any one know what major circuit revision was done and how the sound of the newer preamp compares to the older one?
