Amp/Preamp Asylum

Hi Gents:

My Present setup:

Speakers: Eastern Acoustic Works SCD-6000 3-way Studio Monitors 12" - 4" - 1 ¼ (adjustable "focus" for mid-range and tweeter) (Speakers & crossovers by Eastern Acoustic Works - Boxes by RCF)

Preamp: Adcom GFP715 Amp: Emotiva XPA-2 500W per into 4 ohms

I am quite happy with the speakers, but I'd like to upgrade both the preamp and the amp. For the amp I have been looking to the Parasound Halo A21.

My question is which should give me the most noticeable improvement first, a better preamp or a better amp? I'm open to suggestions for both pieces. (I'll replace both over the next 2 - 4 months)
