And old curiosity ... is the mbl 6010d preamplifier really that good ?

to avoid confusion the question is just for people who has actually listened the preamp in question.
I thought it was clear but ...
and i confess ... i ask this question because i am coming from reading again a neverending debate about op-amps.
I am sincerely exhausted of this op-amps yes op-amps not.
I would like just to establish, one for all, that op-amps are not bad per se, but it is the way they are used that matters.
I guess the MBL mentioned is one of the best example of op-amp based line stage.
Is that really so good as i read ?
