I have a Little Dot MK3 and I completely agree with you! I actually took mine to a local store several years ago and tried mine in a separates Electrocompaniet system. Of course the Electrocompaniet preamp was better. But at it also cost 18 times as much as the Little Dot. The Little dot did not embarrass in any way. However, It was a little bass shy in comparison and there wasn't as much air and transparency. Overall, the store employees and I were very impressed by the Little Dot.
