I owned the Cary CAD-200 which is a great amp especially at today's prices. Unlike some others, the CAD-200 isn't lean or sterile. It's wonderfully smooth with a slightly rounded bass which I enjoy over too tight and crisp. Not sure I'm explaining it right, but it has almost a tube sounding bass to it.
I have not heard the SA-200.2 but my off the cuff comment would be that it's probably not worth the jump in price relative to a used CAD-200.
I'm also thinking about Dennis Had and how he would design and voice his amps. Dennis retired from Cary Audio years ago and I don't think he had any input on the design of the SA-200.1.
