I finally got an opportunity to move from my trusty Pass X1 to a XP-20. Set it up today and cold out of the box it sounds impressive. I was testing all the controls and saw something that I wasn't expecting.
In reviews of the XP-20 when it first came out (I think I saw this in the dagogo review) it was mentioned that the Mode button on the front panel would cycle through the various settings. But this was back when the XP-20 also had the two gain setting that could be picked. The current design no longer has that (from what I recall Pass changed that about 2 years in or so), but it seems all the Mode button does now is cycle through the Display brightness - eventually turning it off. Is that right, or is the Mode button in the current design also supposed to do something else?
