RE: MC1 rebuild with Foil

Well .... honestly they're in the side surround position and even though I listened a little with the processor set to All Stereo and all the other speakers off, all I can say is they sounded good. But I really can't say I remember the sound from two months ago that well. I do know from talking with folks who know a bit about the designs that "foil always sounds better" ... so I assume they do. Main thing is, the bass response is improved.

My room is 12.5x26.5 and the listening area is in the front 16ft. I started listening to a lot of 5.1 music several years ago so that's why I upgraded the center and surrounds to Maggies. And now there's more and more Atmos music too. So it is worth it for me. I have MMGW front tops, but the rear tops and rear surrounds are conventional speakers.

Past two months I used a pair of Smaller Advents for the side surrounds and I definitely appreciate having the more spacious Maggie sound back with the MC1.
