I have just finished doing Danny's parallel crossover on my 1.7 Although the parts (2 aircore inducters + 1 sonicap)are bigger than the original XO, i could fit them in the 1.7 with slight alterations on the 'opening' in the MDF frame. Offcourse taking the original XO out first.
So don't let this talk about external enclosures put one off. Just be prepared to do some carpentry on the frames... MDF is quite easy to mod and the 'cover' will cover everything up ;-)
