RE: 2A3 SET & Quads ESL 63: YES!!!

I don't have a SET amp, but often configure my Rogue Stereo 90 with less powerful tubes like 6L6 or Kt66 as opposed to KT88 or KT120 and run them in triode. KT66 run in triode produces about 30 or 35 watts in the Rogue and I have found this is plenty of power to run my Acoustat Spectra 22 speakers to very loud levels.
Don't know about 2A3 (would probably work fine) but I am going to try a 845 SET or an OTL one of these days. Think OTL might be the way to go given that electrostats already have transformers.
Have you ever tried an OTL on your Quads Banpuku?
