Personally I'd do it the old way. I'd be careful of the amount sprayed on the 'naked' mylar. One school of thought is it does no harm, the other being the amount of mass added (albeit negligible) hampers it's ability to reveal "macro detail".

But 'even if' the second theory holds absolutely no truth to it, my neurosis brain would never be convinced.

Again, IMHO.
