Perhaps my experience in my old apt setting is giving me some preconceived ideas. In that setting the Maggies were much close to the and the ceiling was flat, no diffusors behind the speakers then just absorbers.

Anyway the diffusors on ceiling seemed to be a big help, however with my current setup perhaps I should rethink this, thanks.
